I'm currently the Director of Creative Services for Ellation, the parent company of video streaming services, Crunchyroll and VRV. In this role, I have built the Crunchyroll brand into a truly global media property, as well as launching a new streaming product - VRV.

Beyond the usual tasks of managing, mentoring and fostering creative teams, I've also developed analytic tools to track my team's productivity and ensure that we're maximizing creative quality within clearly defined budgetary goals.

Arlan Smith is a senior-level creative executive with extensive experience in design-led brand and marketing creative. He has lent his talents to a wide variety of platforms, starting in entertainment, but moving fully into brand work over the last few years.
He began his career as a motion graphics artist, and worked in several notable New York City post-production houses, before venturing out on his own in the startup space. In between launching businesses, he has also freelanced for many well-known design and visual effects companies in New York, worked on-site internationally, and launched an award-winning design agency, Nth Degree.
For the last three years, Arlan has been working as the Creative Director/Director of Creative Services for San Francisco based tech/media firm, Ellation, where he's responsible for all visual design and branding aspects of the company and its products (Crunchyroll and VRV).
